VFGweaponCARE's cleaning and maintenance products are universally applicable, allowing virtually all rifles to be cleaned and maintained.

  • Felt cleaner:
  • The VFG felt cleaner, with its central bore, is easily and quickly attached to the adapter and thus to the cleaning rod. Two felt cleaners are typically used when cleaning rifles. Depending on the level of fouling, two versions are available: COMFORT and INTENSIVE. Both barrel cleaners are available in all calibers from .22 to .45 and can be purchased commercially.
  • VFG Barrel Cleaner COMFORT: For light soiling as well as for oiling and degreasing.

  • Cleaning rods:
  • Specifically for rifles, we have developed the 1-piece and the 3-piece cleaning rods. The major advantage of the 1-piece cleaning rod is its stability and sturdiness. In contrast, the compact 3-piece cleaning rod, as the name suggests, can be disassembled into three parts. This makes it less bulky and therefore easy to take to competitions, shooting ranges, or when traveling.
  • The cleaning rods are made of stainless steel (Power-Line OProfi) or a lightweight aluminum alloy (Fun-Line Sport) with a non-slip and ergonomic polyamide handle. This handle contains two maintenance-free and smooth-running ball bearings, allowing the felt cleaning elements screwed onto the adapter to follow the rifling in the barrel during the cleaning process (and preventing the adapter from unscrewing itself due to the twisting motion in the barrel, as is the case with cheaper cleaning rods with rigid handles).
  • Adapter:
  • The VFG adapter 66804 has an M5 external thread and a 1/8" internal thread. It fits all VFG cleaning rods for rifles, handguns, and shotguns (in conjunction with the thread reducer 66900 and the knurled nut) – or other cleaning rod brands with these threads. The adapter is designed to hold two felt cleaning elements. The first felt cleaner is screwed onto the wood screw thread and thus held in place on the adapter. This allows you to polish, oil, degrease, etc., the barrel by moving the cleaning rod back and forth.
  • At the end of the thread is a sloping shoulder. Screwing the felt cleaner further up the thread onto this shoulder widens its diameter slightly, resulting in a tighter fit in the barrel. While this requires a bit more force to push it through the barrel, the increased friction also improves the cleaning effect.
  • Firearm Pocket Set:
  • The handy and flexible cleaning set is suitable for all rifle and shotgun calibers.
  • Precision in miniature: What looks like a plain metal can from the outside offers an innovative and clever interior: A cleaning cord approximately 100 cm long and coated with plastic (with two locking points for short and long weapons), which has a permanently mounted felt holder/adapter at one end and a practical grip disc at the other end.
  • The Firearm Pocket Set impresses not only with its practical design but also with its simple and quick handling: First, push the rope through the barrel, then attach a barrel cleaner to the adapter, and finally pull the rope through the barrel using the handle. Repeat the process three or four times – done. Oiling and degreasing also work in this way.

Shotguns designed for short distances are also used as service weapons in many countries – for example, by the American police and military.   • Felt cleaner:
  • The core of VFGweaponCARE is our felt bore cleaner.
    The bore cleaner, with its central bore, is easily and quickly attached to the adapter and thus to the cleaning rod.
    Two versions are available depending on the level of soiling: COMFORT and INTENSIVE.
  • Barrel Cleaner COMFORT: For light soiling, as well as for oiling and degreasing.
    Barrel Cleaner INTENSIVE: For heavier soiling or deposits.
  • Cleaning rods:
  • The two-piece shotgun cleaning rod is made of solid aluminum, guaranteeing optimal stability. A threaded connection seamlessly joins the individual parts and ensures a secure screw connection.
  • The rod sections are equipped with a 9/32" thread for attaching standard cleaning tools. This shotgun cleaning rod can also be used as a cleaning rod and/or as a fitting rod for muzzleloading firearms.
  • Adapter:
  • The VFG adapter 66804 has an M5 external thread and a 1/8" internal thread.   • Handling is quick and easy: You push the rope through the barrel, attach the barrel cleaner to the adapter at the front, and pull the rope through the barrel using the handle. Repeat this process three or four times – done. Oiling and degreasing work the same way.
  • All components are robust, user-friendly and designed for maximum precision – for optimal care of your shotguns.
Handguns - Pistols and revolvers

Handguns are small arms with an overall length of less than 60 cm and a barrel and slide length of less than 30 cm. This category includes pistols and revolvers. Pistols are used worldwide in many areas, for example, as a finishing shot in hunting or in sport shooting. Many security services and, of course, military forces carry pistols. Not to be forgotten are the service weapons of the police, customs, and judiciary. The revolver is considered extremely reliable and quick to deploy. In revolvers, the chamber is separate from the barrel and is located in a rotating cylinder.
Revolvers are popular in shooting sports, for self-defense, and by hunters for tracking wounded game or for finishing off wounded animals.

  • Barrel cleaning: Insert the cleaning rod with adapter from the muzzle. The soiled felt cleaning pad is wiped off as it is withdrawn. Polishing and oiling are done with a second felt element.
  • Drum cleaning: The holes in the drum can also be easily wiped clean with a drum cleaner. For stubborn dirt, drum cleaners should be used intensively. These consist of wool felt with embedded brass fibers.
  • Felt cleaner:
  • For lighter soiling, or for oiling or degreasing, we recommend using Comfort bore cleaners.
  • For heavier soiling or deposits, intensive bore cleaners make cleaning easier.
  • Some tips from our revolver care experts

    1. First, swing the drum out.
    2. Insert the barrel cleaner from the muzzle.
    3. Push the short cleaning rod with the two barrel cleaners all the way through the barrel until the felts are visible in the frame.
    4. When the cleaning rod is withdrawn, the front soiled cleaning felt is wiped off.
    5. The second felt element, which remains on the adapter, is used to polish the barrel.
    6. The holes in the drum can also be easily wiped clean with our VFG felt cleaner.
    7. For stubborn dirt, we recommend the INTENSIVE runner cleaner. The brass fibers incorporated into the wool felt make it a gentle and practical brush.

  • Cleaning rods:
  • Cleaning rods: Made of stainless steel with maintenance-free ball bearings for precise cleaning. Available in versions for handguns (280 mm) and long guns (740 mm).
  • Practical pistol cleaning rod made of anodized aluminum for short barrels, collapsible and easily transportable. The cleaning rod can be disassembled into individual parts and conveniently stored in the handle with its sealed lid. A 9mm caliber bore cleaner is included.
  • Adapter:
  • The brass adapter (Art. 66803) with a wooden thread for holding the cleaning felt is screwed onto the cleaning rod. Even with repeated back-and-forth movement of the cleaning rod inside the barrel, the cleaning felt will remain firmly and securely attached to the threaded connection. This ensures that no cleaning felt slips off inside the barrel during cleaning and could cause a blockage.

The system is ideal for thorough and uncomplicated cleaning and maintenance of revolvers.

There are many uses for a fast, small-caliber firearm: especially in sport shooting, it is considered an affordable training option. Hunters often use them for hunting small game or trapping. Therefore, we have developed a suitable cleaning system specifically designed for blank-firing and small-caliber firearms.

  • Felt cleaner:
  • For lighter soiling, or for oiling or degreasing, we recommend using Comfort bore cleaners.
  • For heavier soiling or deposits, intensive bore cleaners make cleaning easier.
  • The felt cleaning elements have a central bore for easy attachment to the adapter. Unlike cleaning rifles, handguns, and shotguns, only one felt cleaner is screwed firmly onto the thread at a time.
  • Cleaning rods:
    For stability reasons, cleaning rods for small-caliber weapons are manufactured exclusively as a single piece of stainless steel with a diameter of 3.5 mm.

    Two versions are available:
  • For handguns = 280 mm wiper length
  • For long guns = 740 mm wiper length
  • Maintenance-free ball bearings in the handle ensure that the felt cleaners screwed onto the adapter can follow the rifling in the barrel (and that, unlike cheaper cleaning rods with rigid handles, the adapter cannot unscrew itself due to the twisting motion in the barrel).

CO2 and air pressure weapons

A special cleaning system is available for CO2 and airguns. This system consists of quick-cleaning plugs and a felt cleaning system. This system ensures effective maintenance and contributes to the long-term precision and lifespan of the weapons.

Our VFG wool felts meet the highest standards for cleaning, smoothing, and polishing a wide variety of workpieces. As polishing or cleaning felts, they ensure thorough yet gentle surface treatment, ideal for bore cleaning in firearm maintenance. Thanks to their fine fiber structure, our felts allow for precise and effective treatment of delicate surfaces.

  • Quick cleaning plug:
  • VFG quick-cleaning plugs are simple and easy to use.
  • For light fouling: VFG quick-cleaning plugs are compact (without a center hole) and available in all common calibers. They have a diameter that fits snugly into the barrel of your firearm. When the shot is fired, the overpressure in the barrel and the rapid acceleration compress the felt plug lengthwise. This longitudinal compression causes the felt plug to expand. As a result, the felt is pressed with great force against the barrel wall, generating the desired cleaning friction. The felt plug is forced into the rifling and follows the twist. This ensures that every part of the barrel is reliably cleaned.
  • To prevent fiber particles from remaining in the barrel, we generally recommend inserting a pointed pellet behind the felt element into the barrel and shooting both through together!
  • Felt cleaner:
  • For heavier soiling, we recommend regular cleaning with the Match Pocket Set and appropriate cleaning agents. Repeatedly pulling the flexible Match Pocket Set cord through the bore with the matching COMFORT or INTENSIVE bore cleaner will remove the deposits.
  • The COMFORT and INTENSIVE bore cleaners are equipped with a center hole for mounting on the adapter. The necessary frictional pressure and compression of the felt element are achieved by pulling the bore cleaner through the hole.
  • Match Pocket Set:
  • It has been specifically designed so that it cannot cause any damage, even to high-precision match weapons.
  • Handling is quick and easy: You push the rope through the barrel, attach the barrel cleaner to the adapter at the front, and pull the rope through the barrel using the handle. Repeat this process three or four times – done. Oiling and degreasing work the same way.

  • Hunting mats:
  • The water-repellent hunting seat felt, with its thick layer of wool felt, provides comfortable seating, reliable protection against cold and wet conditions, and is easy to clean. Available in various sizes, it is suitable for both mobile and stationary use. VFG hunting seat felts are available in two versions: one measuring 400 x 500 mm, with or without a practical leather carrying handle.
  • Care instructions: The wet VFG hunting blind felt simply needs to be hung up in a well-ventilated place. Dirt can be removed by hand washing in soapy water.
  • Rifle rest:
  • The wool felt rifle rest offers optimal protection against moisture and dirt and reduces noise, making it ideal for use in a hunting blind. It also facilitates silent target tracking.
  • Care instructions: The wet VFG rifle rest simply needs to be hung in a well-ventilated place. Dirt can be removed by hand washing in soapy water.
  • Magnetic felt jaws:
  • The magnetic felt jaws make clamping weapon parts in a vise particularly gentle. The elastic felt adapts perfectly and protects sensitive surfaces and engravings from damage. Thanks to integrated magnets, the jaws can be attached easily and securely.
  • Tip: The marking on the felt jaws, visible after use, disappears due to the elastic recovery of the VFG felt. To do this, clamp the felt jaws in a vise without a workpiece and leave them for approximately 8 hours.
  • Non-slip weapon mat for long and short firearms:
  • The magnetic felt jaws make clamping weapon parts in a vise particularly gentle. The elastic felt adapts perfectly and protects sensitive surfaces and engravings from damage. Thanks to integrated magnets, the jaws can be attached easily and securely.
  • For maintenance or (basic) cleaning, firearms must be partially or completely disassembled. Felt, with its outstanding properties, is particularly well-suited for protecting both the firearm and the table or surface. Therefore, we use only our high-quality, abrasion-resistant wool felt for VFG firearm mats. This felt is extremely absorbent.
