140 years FILZFABRIK Fulda

Since its foundation in 1881, Filzfabrik Fulda GmbH & Co KG has been an owner-managed company with production exclusively in Germany. For many years, we have been united by a common passion: working with felt as a material. We congratulate FILZFABRIK Fulda on its Jubilee.

About Filzfabrik Fulda

In 2021, the art scene celebrates 100 years of Joseph Beuys.

We also celebrate because we share a passion with this exceptional artist:

The passion of FELT!

The list of his works made of felt by Vereinigte Filzfabriken AG is long: it ranges from a felt-covered concert grand piano and the famous felt suits to entire rooms lined with felt rolls, e.g. the Anthony d'Offay Gallery in London. In February 1985, Joseph Beuys visited the internationally renowned traditional manufacturer VFG.

The 100th anniversary of Joseph Beuys is accompanied by numerous exhibitions throughout the country, including one in the Ulm Museum:
A Woodstock of Ideas - Joseph Beuys, Achberg and the German South: https://museumulm.de/ausstellung/ein-woodstock-der-ideen-joseph-beuys-achberg-und-der-deutsche-sueden/.

Let us hope that it will soon be possible again to explore the many accompanying exhibitions, actions and teaching events about this influential artistic personality.

To kick off the big Beuys anniversary year, you can see an SWR television feature on the exhibition in the programme KUNSCHT! from 28 January 2021:
